how it was made
- script
- Written by his own agentic pipeline: Claude Code with his film skill and toolkit, filmkit. Every claim was checked against his own records before a word was voiced.
- voice
- A voice designed for Helen in ElevenLabs (eleven_v3), thirty-one lines. Each take was transcribed back with ElevenLabs Scribe and thrown out unless it matched the script word for word, with no stray sounds and no pause in the middle of a phrase.
- picture
- Remotion (React): every frame is code, 1920x1080 at 30 fps. Each beat is keyed to the word that pays it off, from the character timings of the voice itself.
- music
- A score from ElevenLabs Music, fitted with librosa. librosa tracks the beats and finds the repeating phrase in the score (MFCC self-similarity), so whole bars loop to hit the exact length of the film: no fade-out, no cut in the middle of a phrase.
- photo
- His hallway photograph, keyed by luminance and toned in SVG filters so its blacks become part of the film; he is drawn solid from a cutout.
- review
- Before the final render, six reviewer agents checked every scene at full size for collisions, alignment and empty stretches, and nine more fixed what they found.
- mix
- ffmpeg: a limiter, then two-pass loudness normalization to -16 LUFS, -1.5 dBTP. The finished film was transcribed once more against the whole script.
- delivery
- H.264, yuv420p, bt709, fast-start MP4, with English captions built from the script and the voice timings.
